Around the plant, there are many wall paintings which depict the life scene of Tao aborigines.
The bank is painted blue to emphasis the horizons.
施設の周りには、原住民タオ族の暮らしがこれみよがしのペンキ絵で描かれ、道路の法面には水平線が強調されている。

Bank was being bulit for protecting the waste storage site.
大量の汚染土壌を保管するために、巨大な堤が造成されていた。

The lines of bank and ground meet horizontally.
盛り土の水平線を合わせる。奥に緑のシートで覆われた保管場が見える。

One find a new "horizon" with a large mass of huge sandbags of contaminated soil.
汚染土壌を入れた大量の黒い土嚢が新しい地平線を形成している。

土嚢群は遮水シートで覆われて保管される。太平洋の水平線が見える。

On the sheet, rainwater gathered in the hollows. It seems a land, not of the earth but our waste land.
遮水シートの上には水がたまり、どこかの地形を思わせる。 だが自然の大地ではなく、大地に還ることのない文明の廃棄物による地形。私たちの住む「土地」とはこのようなものである。
